Olympics 2012

Olympics 2012, london

The opening ceremony for the 30th Olympic (Olympics 2012) have begun just now at London. I am sure millions of people must be watching the same across the globe & it will be a treat to watch them. Let The games Begin!!!!!

India's greatest successes at the Olympics have come in men's hockey. India won every men's Hockey title from 1928 to 1956 but thereafter our performances have deteriorated for the reasons best known to all of us. In the last Olympics at Beijing, in individual events, we had won 1 Gold and 2 Bronze medals, thanks to the good performance in shooting and wrestling. We may expect a better performance this time.

Bapu's (Aniruddhasinh) love for sports is already well known. He strongly advocates the importance of playing outdoor games and indoor games like basket ball, badminton and table tennis. He believes that a person learns “team efforts” and “team spirit” only through the sports. It also teaches everyone to accept defeat in a healthy manner as no one can win each and every game or match everytime. This principle is of utmost importance in life as often it is seen that continuous success makes a person indifferent, insensitive and intolerant. May be for the same reason Bapu (Aniruddhasinh) in his speech on Ramrajya, announced the formation of Aniruddha's Institute of Bonsai Sports.

Shreeram Dada for your post on "Olympics 2012".
The first world records of the London 2012 Olympics have already been set by a blind South Korean archer . Im Dong Hyun is legally classified as blind and cannot see out of his right eye, but it did not stop the two-time gold medalist bettering his own leading 72-arrow score in the qualification competition at Lord's cricket ground in the British capital.
The 26-year-old, who struggles to read a newspaper, scored 699, which put him top of the standings ahead of compatriots Kim Bubmin and Oh Jin Hyek.
Param Pujya Bapu's principle about sports, which you have quoted in your post indeed has a pivotal role to play in our day to day life. Bapu has been emphasising on the importance of outdoor games time and again. Age should not be a barrier to this fact. Here I am reminded of a maxim which Bapu quoted during one of his speech "FAMILY THAT PLAYS TOGETHER STAYS TOGETHER". So very true.

Shreeram Dada for sharing your views on "Olympics 2012"...it was indeed a pleasure to watch the Grand opening...yess Bapu's liking for sports has been known to everyone....one such experience i came across was when i was a teacher (maushi)for Dhangad-Dhinga 2012...when our dearesst P.P.Nandai ..herself stressed on Outdoor Games for kids...as Kids need more strength and energy ...and they all build up by playing out ,instead of jusst sitting at home and playing indoor games or watching television and be a Couch Potato ...which off late is being practiced by more kids...i hardly c any children playing out...rather kids these days are more prone to watching TV or video games on I-pads...which i think is The Necessity of todays generation upto some extent..but majorly Kids should play out more...its the best form of excercise not only for their body but their mind as well..and as You have quoted, it does teach everyone not only to accept defeat in a healthy manner , but also teaches everyone Big or Small the Team efforts and Team spirit... and yes most definitely Bapu's formation of "Aniruddha's Institute of Bonsai Sports" is very much needed as it will open up many such out-door gaming opportunities not only for kids but also for elders as well....And at the Olympics 2012 ...our team-mates from India should follow such team spirit .....then it would definitely be a proud moment for all Indians...as it is well -versed "ISS BAAR TIRANGA LONDON MEIN PHELAYENGE"...ISS BAAR JEET KE HI AAYENGE...shreeram hari om

Hari Om Dada,
The Indian men's archery team was knocked out of the Olympic Games after losing to Japan in a tense pre-quarterfinal shoot-off at the Lord's Cricket Ground today. We, the Indians would be much disappointed as they were leading by two points in regulation play before the Japanese equalised to force a tie-breaker. The country which produced archers like Arjuna-- who shot into the eye of a wooden bird , staring at its reflection in the water, and Karna- who bettered it by shooting 2 arrows into both eyes , today cannot even pass the first round! I am highly disappointed today with the performance of our team. I pray to Aadimata to give success and strength to Indian players.I agree with the views of Shri Leeladhar Kukyan. He said Bapu has told us that ' The family which prays together, stays together. Bapu's thoughts are even applicable here. Our all players should act as one family, as they are representing India in sports on such a huge and reputed platform. The controversies and all such things creates unhealthy atmosphere for any game. "तुटे वाद संवाद तो हितकारी'' May Aadimata and Dattabappa bless India.

Hari Om Dada, Shree Ram for sharing this beautiful post. Playing sports, with a sporting spirit, is indeed an activity that gives us joy both mentally and physically. It feels really sad to know that it has become such a neglected field in India. And the few people who still manage to hang on, and take it up professionally have to face so many hurdles from our own government to represent our own country to the best of their abilities.

As always he first does and then says. 'ANIRUDDHA'S INSTITUTE OF SPORTS AND BONSAI SPORTS' is going to be a light of hope in an era where the kids are more prone to indoor video/computer/ipad games and elders take pleasure in criticizing on cricket and cricketers rather than going out, playing and enjoying the real games.
