Explanation to the Ghorakashtoddharan Stotra

Padukas of Shree Nrusinh Saraswati (Lord Dattatreya) at Home of Bapu

Yesterday we have seen the importance of chanting Ghorakashtoddharan Stotra in the month of Shraavan. In Bapu's (Aniruddhasinh) words the Yajna consists chanting as much as possible of our favourite among the names of the God, as also recalling to our mind as mush as possible all the attributes of God. And what is offering in this Yajna? It is the lack of bhakti (abhakti), lack of faith (ashraddha), lethargy and apathy. In Prathana 1 of Satyapravesh Bapu (Aniruddhasinh) says "Let us evoke Lord Dattatrey, the son of Anusaya, let us sing His glories and therefore chant Ghorakashtoddharan Stotra in the month of Shraavan".

In the month of Shraavan, Bapu (Aniruddhasinh) expects all his Shraddhavan friends to chant the' Ghorkashtodharan Stotra” regularly. The importance of chanting the said stotra has been described by Bapu (Aniruddhasinh) in his discourses at Shriharigurugram. As explained by Bapu (Aniruddhasinh) the practical of Ghorkashtodharan Stotra is Aniruddha’s Academy of Disaster Management; a video clip is enclosed herewith, which is self-explanatory.

From the year 2003, Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Upasana Trust arranges Ghorkashtodharan Stotra Pathan (Chanting) for the entire month of Shraavan. This year the venue is Shree Krishna Hall, opposite Chitra Cinema, Naigaon, Dadar (East), Mumbai – 400 014. And the timings are as under:-

Session 2 Timing

In each session the Stotra will be chanted 108 times. The Shraddhavan friends can offer prasaad throughout the day which is then distributed to the Shraddhavans present. At the venue, the Shraddhavans who participate in the chanting may donate rice, pulses etc. which is then used for “Annapurna Prasaadam Yojana” under 13 Point Programme of Bapu (Aniruddhasinh).

Bapu (Aniruddhasinh), Nandai and Suchit Dada also attend this chanting atleast once in the month.
